SYSTEM UPDATE: Goalie prospect Landon Bow amongst finalists for ECHL honors

Stars goaltending prospect Landon Bow showed enough in 27 games to earn a fifth-place finish in the ECHL’s Rookie of the Year voting, announced Tuesday

In those 27 regular-season games, Bow turned in a 2.08 goals against average to lead the ECHL and a .933 save percentage, good for second in the league.

Bow and the rest of the Idaho Steelheads will kick off their opening-round series against Colorado on the road Friday at 7:05 p.m.

Texas Stars (AHL)



Season stats: 13 GP, 2 G, 2 A, -2


Bayreuther found the scoresheet again this week, scoring the Texas Stars’ lone goal in a 3-1 loss to Charlotte and notching an assist in a 4-3 win over San Antonio. The Stars will wrap up their season with a pair of games against San Antonio.

HIFK (Liiga)


Season stats: 57 GP, 21 G, 18 A, +13


HIFK was bounced from the Liiga playoffs by Tappara, falling by a final count of four games to one. Hintz had two assists in the final four games. HIFK will take on the loser of KalPa and JYP in the third-place game on April 21.

Frolunda HC (SHL)



Season stats: 62 GP, 8 G, 8 A, +4

After splitting the first two games of its semifinal series against Brynas, Frolunda has again alternated wins and losses on its way to a game-seven showdown. Frolunda took game three by a final of 6-3, dropped game four 4-3, won game five 4-0 and fell in game six 6-0. Nyberg tallied a goal in the game-five win.
